aprilia shock fitment

i have purchased a 2002 aprilia rsv1000 sachs shock from ebay, nice and clean and it cost buttons, just wondering if anyone has any idea if it might fit the trx? it doesn't matter if it won't fit as i plan on getting an rsv pretty soon-to sit beside the trx not replace it cheers

I'm sure it will fit but it will probably feck up the supsension

the trx supsension (and indeed any bikes OE suspension) is designed to work with a certain spring length / weight and linkage.

Changing this could bugger up the geometry. Ask yourself why Ohlins don't only make one shock.

Why do K-Tech, Maxton etc. offer revalving and different springs, not to mention shocks with ride height adjustment?

If the Aprilia shock is vaguely the right length and it'll fit, why not try it? Plenty of us on here use different length dog bones which changes the ride height and link rate and loads have fitted different front ends

Or buy adaptors from Kayla and stick R6 rear shocks in......
