Hi all,

a quick question, when the weather improves, i intend to fit my FCR41's. One problem I can foresee is fuel consumption, what sort of fuel consumption can I expect - in town, on steady motorway drive and balls out?

On track i do approx 190km, on road approx 230km to reserve. Raceported head and 878cc kit with cams etc.

With standard engine and open exhaust i get 270-300 km's before reserve. Around town riding.

What are your carb settings please?

Blue velocity stacks ,Ramair filters and 158 main jets.

What about fuel screw setting mine is set at 1 turn and its still really thursty cruising around here at 50-70 mph returns 35mpg

I think we could do with a FCR setup sticky.

Blue stacks+ramair foam, 170 mains, main air drilled out to 210 (fattened up at the highest), was fat on slow jet so one size smaller...then it started popping so turned fuelscrews out half a turn, lowered the needles one click and perfecto (for sweden)

What is the bog std settings for these when you buy them?

Well, 150 main jet, 200 main air...iirc i went down to 42 in slow so one step up?
I know i put up everything here but can´t recall more as of now...try SUDCO??

Town riding only, I reach 250kms and then fuel up... haven't tested to the reserve but might try sometime soon and will let you know.

Me too, it doesn't matter how fast or slow I drive, or how much stuff I carry around with the bike, it always does - at least - 20 km/liter! Sorry don't know how to put it in mpg

I also live in Sweden and I have "almost" the same settings and mileage as KW.

You guys in Britain and Australia, how the hell do you manage to have 158 main jets, open filters and headers - in Sweden they would be really lean with that setup.... The difference shouldnt be that large. Is the bike THAT individual?

I´ve seen quite a lot running 170-ish mains all around Europe (that is with stacks)...they are jetted lower if one keep the airbox (or live in aussie)

Yep 170 mains here too, might see how she behaves on 165`s on Youngy`s dyno though. I`ve recently found some real gems on Kedo`s site for those with Mikuni Flatslides.

They make adjustables for FCR-MX, they´re quite long though but with some DIY maybe...??
