Racetech Gold valve and springs - help needed

Hi there. I bought a set from the forum (pre-used) and I recieved everything as it should be, but I do not have the installation instructions. Everything is pretty straightforward but I have one question for the forum.

There are two types of washers. One with a fairly large inner diameter (the washer is thin between inner and outer diameter if you know what I mean) and the other washer is "fatter" (the hole in the middle is smaller).

So, washers are supposed to go on either side of the spacer for each fork.

Which one is supposed to be on the upper side of the spacer, i.e. closest to the cap?

I am guessing it is the fat one? this will give preload and I guess I have to compress the spring a little before I can tighten the cap. Is there a measure for this from lets say upper lip of fork to cap thread, when resting on top of the washer before tightening?

Regards from Sweden.

I have just fitted Racetech springs to my TRX, the fatter washers are standard Yamaha items, the larger inner diameter washers sound the same as the ones supplied with the spring kit. I just reused the Yamaha ones although
either will be o.k. Hope this helps.

Almost!

Which one is closest to the cap? The fatter one?

Found a link;

Roll down to near bottom. Theres a picture of the whole setup laid out in (I hope) the correct order. It looks like the fatter one should be closest to the cap.

Can anyone confirm?

I can confirm that the setup is as shown on the photo below.

So, the "fatter" washer closest to the cap

Thanks for your reply Kojak - I did not understand if you answered my question, but now I have the info from another way.

Cheers!
