Bike has started getting clunky in gear changes but fine when doing clutchless shifts up. At traffic lights, when in neutral with the clutch full out, I can hear a whirring sound with the occassional soft clunk. Clutch in and the sound and clunking stop. Out it's back again. Engine feels fine. When under way the bike feels fine but there is some soft rumbling that I only really noticed as I had to swap my pipes back to stock for a rego check.

Sounds like mine but other way around, i get a strange whining sound when pulling the lever all in. Mine is fine in gearshifts when topped up good with oil but when i´m low in the lookingglass it´s harder to downshift correctly.
I have not been bothered with it...so we can say this is a hijack thread

clutches will always mute when they are under pressure..that is when engaged or the clutch is pulled in..ask a dry clutch Ducati owner..rattle rattle[in neutral at a traffic light]..thats one of the reasons the Japanese always have the wet clutches..quiet..er...but on my SOAP BOX now..good quality oil and regular servicing has got to be the best preventitive to most of the problems associated in this whole forum...ive got 140000kays up on mine..burnouts..wheelies...up over 200 kph..rain..and EVEN once ..i had a BIG BONED woman on the back...she said she liked the vibes ...in all cases ..lubrication.. ....

Big boned woman eh? Nice way of putting it!
Women do tend to rattle on like clutches at times eh guys? Mind never as loudly as a Ducati clutch!

Just remebered a tip given to me by a vacuum cleaner engineer.
If your women ever stops sucking, just like a vacuum cleaner, it`s time to change the bag!
