I just snapped a bolt

Noticed a drop of oil on one of the bolts on the oil filter housing so thought I'd nip them all up, and one of them snapped. Only just above the head of the bolt, so I'm hoping I haven't royally fubard anything - it was the bolt nearest the drain plug and was the one with the oil on.
Just feeling a bit hacked off about it really, never had a bolt snap on me like that before.

You need to undo the filter housing and then mole grips or the like on the sheared one, its definately the same length as some of the others (cant remember if they are all the same length or if a couple are longer).

Ahaaaa, so you took note of my comment about a drop of fresh oil on the housing then Al?
As Dave says, get the filter housing off and you`ll see the monkey, hopefully it`ll not have sheared off flush or it`ll be a very tricky removal.
If it is flush you`ll need to get the bike up off the ground, Axle stands and a long rod through the front of the motor will do it.
Then it`s a matter of centre punching it and drilling it centrally before utilising an easyout.
