My rex is doing my nut in at the moment

totally adore the bike.. BUT i`ve done 2000 miles on it since i got it late spring.. when bought it had new fork seals.. that lasted 1300 miles.... had em replaced.... 575 mile later pissing more red fluid out than a vampired gang bang on period week!!!
lookin at the stancions there are tiny chips here n there but nowhere near as bad as i`ve had on other bikes n never had a problem...
i`m close to binning the forks and huntong out a 2nd hand set... question is.. i`ve heard Thundercat and FZR 600 foxeye legs may fit...
i`m being paid off in 8 weeks and no prospects of work so looking for the most affordable option...
can anyone gimme some advice/help??
Cheers

My rhs seal lasted for about 400mile before going, its only a slight leak but its not going to get better on its own, I think Kayla had a pair of thundercat/ thunderace forks for sale pretty much ready to bolt on, and there is a a set on ebay at the mo. I reckon I will hold out and do the r1 or other usd conversion when funds allow r1 parts seem quite expensive compared to other usd stuff. Wendles' bike had a lovley set of forks from a grxr (i think?)
Good luck with the job hunting, getting paid off sucks!

What seals are you using? Some can be cheap and nasty rubber.
Are you fitting them yourself and are you fitting them right? (if you are, I'm sure you are, but gotta ask!)
Stick a Wanted Post up for some replacement ones. Nothing else fits without modifications IIRC which you may not have the cash to do at the moment.
And its helpful if you add your location to your signature cos we is an international forum innit!

When it comes to seals, a sandwich is softer than a spanner!!!

Pretty sure (99%) that FZR600 forks fit straight in

Cheapest option is learning to enjoy the thrill of undamped suspension! Next cheapest is to thoroughly degrease the pits & fill 'em with araldite, a careful rub down with p1200 wet&dry (wet) & Roberts yer mothers sibling! Not the prettiest way, but effective. You still need new seals & oil however. My FZR forks were bodged over 10 yrs ago & still not leaking!

They do, but you need the FZR wheel spindle (I think the thread is a smaller diameter).
