Hose

Post by Mayhem » Fri Nov 04, 2011 2:10 pm

I have discovered a hose behind the cylinders that does not have a home. That is it is not connected to anything. I am not sure whether it is a breather or should be connected to something. Has anyone else got a similar feature on their bike? Will investigate further.

Likely from the top of the carbs, an overflow / breather hose.
What diameter is it?

Check if you have an 'unoccupied' spigot on an inlet stub - could be a vac hose? Fung's right - a picture would speak volumes on this occasion

Sorry boys will post pictures next time.

Took it to the mechanic to check out a couple of things and it was in fact the breather hose for the carbs. Good call.

Thanks for the posts.

Yep I thought as much, the petrol vapours harden hoses over time and they do occasionally work loose, especially if you`ve been getting hands in about that area.
