While working on my TRX the other day I glanced down and spotted this part on the work bench that I have no idea where it has come from. Can anyone advise where I have left it out of???
Before I was working on my trx, I did have my Duke on the same lift where this part was found..

Hmmm punched steel, not machined in any way by the look of it. Have you tried Gurlgling those numbers stamped on it Stank?
As a guess, something to do with gear selection, perhaps interacts somehow on a gearbox selector drum.

I tried that but it came up with nothing shame coz I'm sure you'd have believed that I knew what it was just through natural mechanical ability

the part was not oil covered and as you see it there. The little sucker was just sitting there? did not google it .

No hole in it, it would be difficult to secure anywhere but by it`s shape it could maybe slot into something but again no scoring or marks / wear. Very odd!
You sure it`s bike related?
It`s not part of a new toy you are developing to take pictures of you sitting on in poor taste shirts is it?

Christmas is just around the corner and my wardrobe of stylish porn shirts, will no doubt expand.

What I know about the mystery part is:
I have worked on 3 bikes of late on my hoist, My dirter WR450 yammy, My 1198 Duke and my TRX lastly. I did not hear it drop onto the bench from any of my bikes and I was cleaning off the bench after I put the tank back on my TRX....

any more ideas please???????????????????

How about a braking component, from a drum perhaps, were you working on brakes on any of the three bikes?

In saying that, I did have the heads off my Duke not all that long ago. If there is a God, he will make sure that everything went back ok in that thing.

Ahaaaaa, now it couldn`t be something to do with those belt tensioners could it?

Drum Brakes?????????????????????????????? I know I am old mince but realllllly!!

Some kind of static pulley positioner / timing device for the Duke? I thought you might have a drum rear brake on the crosser? But hey, I guess things have moved on somewhat!

Well you asked for ideas, I`m just trying to be helpful. It`s gotta have come from somewhere!
It couldn`t be part of the bike bench could it?
