Ignition coils....

Is the spec of the coils on the trix 3 ohms?
Just cant find info anywhere!
Maybe someone here drives with dynatek?

Hi Killerwhale!
According to the English TRX Service Manual (look in the member's section - downloads; chapter 8, page 261)
Primary coil resistance is 3.4 ~ 4.6 Ohm at 20°C
Secondary coil resistance is 10.4 ~ 15.6 Ohm at 20°C
(BTW: The values in the German manual are the same

)

Are these actually the ignition ones up under front of tank?? Shouldn´t they be the same??
Well, i guess i´ll be taking home the multi from work and measure!

Primary and secondary are circuits within the ignition coil, i.e. You have two readings per coil to do.
