Where does it go?

After having done my usual trick of ripping things apart and worrying where they go later, I have a problem. I have put my carbs back on after cleaning them, I have connected all the tubes and pipes back into what I think is the right way. But...there is one pipe I am left with, it is situated right in the middle of the carbs at the rear where it says Mikuni Corporation. The pipe is on a bar and it swivels. I can only find one place where it might go and that is into the air box, but it seems to long to go there, but I may be wrong. Any help greatfuly received. Thanks David.

If i've understood your description correctly that's the main fuel feed to the carbs & connects to the 'elbow' connector on the vacuum pump?

Go to the downloads section of the forum, parts pdf is likely best. You should then see an exploded view of the carbs and hoses and if memory serves me correctly a diagram showing where they go / fit.

If it is kind of underneath the carbs and same diameter as the fuel in hose its the vent hose and runs down the right hand side of the bike into nothingness. Kind of awkward to get to...but not as bad as the left hand fuel warmer hose with coolant running down your hand

In the middle of the carbs is the fuel inlet & the overflow, it'll be one of those two.

Hints for young players: take lots of photos and even label stuff before you start pulling things apart. Also, a lot of connections are easier to make with the carbs off the manifolds eg fuel warmer hoses, throttle cables, vent hose. Ask me how I know this

And if you do forget to do ANY of that remember the forum and the downloads section. A little search all by yourself means you might not have to bother the rest of us for tips when we is grumpy!

Oh happy day...carbs back on, all plumbed in, fuel on. It started after some coaxing but then stopped and wont fire or even try. Its like the engine is getting no fuel atall now. I dont think I have connected anything wrongly. As far as I can see looking atTrixynuts photo, the main fuel feed pipe is the one in the middleof the carb and the one infront of it is the one going into nothingness...I have tried studying the download but cant make head nor tail of it. Heeeelp.
