I have put the yzf750 rear end on my bike along with standard sprockets, but it would appear that the chain is fouling the pivot point on the swingarm, I am pretty sure it will still do this when I put my weight on the bike, I have put on the Yzf dogbones so this will be jacking the bike up slightly and not helping things, it also has the yzf shock and spring on it at the mo, but with Phuks garage clearout maxton rebuilt one on its way (soonish!) any one else had/got issues with this?.
I enquired about a 18 tooth front sprocket and going up to 43 on the rear, but 18t fronts dont seem to be available, unless made special order.
Search has turned up nothing on this one for me so far

I do want to lower the gearing slightly for more acceleration so a larger rear will help, but would take advice of anyone who has come across this before,

take a photo Cal, cant see much on my set up...im on standard sprockets though..
Are you chafeing the reinforcement or the pivot bearing tube on the yzf rear ?
if you are wearing away the buffer protector then you are needing to go up a tooth in the least for the front sprocket for sure.

Same here, all i can say. Chain is traveling over the swinger protection....prob worse on mine as i run 16/42 on the TRX900. Going to change to 44 though.

@ Killer, that would be very low geared but might stop the fouling, or are you saying 17-44,

I did get the number of a guy who will make front sprockets, I will give him a ring later on, to see what he is saying to it,

Does anyone know if an xjr1300 front sprocket will fit? they seem to go to 18t

The combination of YZF arm and dogbones might be conspiring to raise the rear too much. If the linkage mounts under the arm are in a different place in relation to the frame/pivot tube then using the TRX linkage and a (possibly?) longer shock will all add up.

Cal, you could get an 18 tooth front (right pitch etc of course), machine out the centre then turn down a stock 17 tooth TRX sprocket to fit the inside of the 18, weld it up and Bobs your aunties husband.
Done this a few times across the years on all kinds of bikes.
