Standard Headers

Hi All hope some one will know how to remove the flange ring from std. headers. I have just made some alloy clamps to put on with split collet type rings & weld on a flang to retain

I havnt had mine off yet, but by all accounts on here they are a bitch to get off.
Buy yourself either a first aid kit for knuckles or a thick pair of leather gloves, and a reasonable size hammer.......

Hi am I right in thinking they are a sort of hammer on type fit as there does not appear to be any weld or spot weld.

Hammer on fit? Nope, the alloy collars grab the lip on the pipes. They are definately cut, burn or feckin hammer off though!
