Any advice on the best way to remove black tyre paint from tyres ?
This extends well on to the tread.
thanks

start engine,
twist the throttle thingy with your right hand whilst in gear,
lean over to the left slowly (whilst twisting the thingy) until you hear a scraping sound.
Return to upright position whilst un-twisting throttle thingy.
Repeat above to the right side.
Repeat until blue and red lights are seen in mirrors or paint is removed.
If the paint is on the higher side of the tyre use some thinners on it then a light WD-40 afterwards.
or lean further

Mince - thanks for your more realistic reply. I don't think the neighbors would like the tyre burnout bagmaker suggested.
It's front and rear and I don't know if it was the dealer or the previous owner. My technical guru said should be my no 1 priority.
One of my mates suggested soap and water and a good scrubbing brush with again lots of elbow grease
I'm halfway through getting rid of the rim tape.
