Is it a general, not running right feeling......like the performance feels flat.
I'm figuring it's either that or the coils(anybody know where you can buy micro or "stick" coils? I know ND and Mitsubishi make them but never really seen them aftermarket.)

Noise too, put a screwdriver to the adjuster and the handle end to your ear, you`ll hear the thrashings of a worn camchain it`ll be pretty noisy! Has your TRX had one in it`s life do you know?
Don`t forget you may have the dreaded pocketed / stretched (whichever you believe) inlet valve issues causing your power losses too.
Pencil coils are readily available, Ebay is full of them, try a search you`ll see. The problem may be getting pencil coils of the right type to suit the TRX ignition system and that you can utilise.

Nah, Mince, still on the original (102,500kms). Bike is still on a myriad of original items, clutch, coils, carbs, exhuasts.
They are all getting worn and it's starting to tell........

Yeah, get it done next service - probably due for a valve check then too.
