Indicator mounts?

Post by Ruin » Sat Aug 25, 2012 12:23 pm

Hi. I've just bought an unregistered 1999 TRX. It had aftermarket LED indicators on it that were pretty tiny and i didn't think that they would pass roadworthy so i am trying to refit the original indicators that came with the bike. But I can't figure out how they are secured to the frame! Maybe I am missing a bit? Could someone help me out with a photo of what the stock indicators look like in the frame, and how they are secured there? I have the indicator, with a thread, a plastic mount that sits against the fairing, and a grooved rubber sleeve that sits inside the fairing, but there is nothing to prevent it from pulling back through. Am I missing something completely simple here? Thanks in advance.

there are metal plates which attach from the inside by screws which gold the indicators in place.
The left one incorporates a metal loop to guide the speedo cable.
Try looking up the trx parts manual to get a better understanding of how it goes together.

Thanks mate, got that from the downloads and it all became crystal. One of the previous owners had put the front blinkers onto the back, leaving me puzzling over why what i thought were stock parts wouldn't go in! #-o Haha
