Hello,

I've been trying to fit a Pferrer bellypan to my TRX but it seriously fouls the Akra system at the rear of the pan. Has anyone come across this combination before? I don't really want to cut the pan as I may need it at some point next year if I go racing. Likewise, I don't really want to get rid of the Akra system either.

It looks like the bellypan is intended for the standard downpipes which would explain the lack of clearance when both pipes merge and exit on one side. One solution would be to sell the Akra and get hold of another decent system in 2-1-2 configuration. If I were to do that, what would be the system to go for? Also, what would be an alternative bellypan which is ACU approved?

Just can add i bought another one on evilbay and it fouled on the downpipes left side...it´s been sitting unpainted in the garage ever since. Just the same with Over Racing system and YZF750 swinger...a no go.
So one should expect makers do their stuff after the standard TRX.

So why not buy the other belly pan of killer and chop that one sounds like a cheaper alternative to me and you don't loose your Acra but you can sell it to me if you like

The problem isn't so much chopping a bellypan, it's more down to how much fluid it would hold afterwards. I'd be concerned that it might fail scrutineering.

If I was offered a good alternative to the Akra, I may consider some type of deal.

Mmm, it seems that when I use the search tool I only get negative information in the results. According to these search results, there is no record of a happy solution for Akras and bellypans.

Is it possible for an Admin to fix the broken search tool so it gives me the answers I want?

well ... errr ... hmmmmm

I find it best to type in the answer I want and then search for the question I should be asking...

I got an answer for you... ditch one or the other and there's your problem solved! If you decide to ditch the Akra, give me a call!

More seriously, the only option you have here is to do some cutting or create some custom mounts for the bellypan so it sticks out or is lower in order not to foul the line. Don't think there is much else tbh.
