Anyway, cleaned it down, but as was advertised, the cam chain is making a racket.
At idle, it's in noticeable. but when you rev it, as the revs drop you can hear a clatter from the chain, notably at the back of the head. It'll also make the most noise when you hold it arouns 3000rpm. I daren't rev it any higher as it is.
It's got a new tensioner in it (fitted by the previous owner). I removed this tonight and tired it the other way round. I even took the copper washer out in an effort to get it to pop out another click on the ratchet but it's still noisy.
I've only ridden it down the road and it's pretty awful noise wise, and I'm paranoid about it jumping or causing some damage.
Any tips for something I can try? of is it a new chain or engine rebuild?
I can't even remember what my other one sounded like, the echusts were too loud to tell!
