Grubby oil sight glass

Oil is a bit above 6,000km old and the bike has started to use a bit. Is sitting just below the Full mark but have noticed an oily residue on the inner pane of the sight glass that doesn't move when the motor is started (the oil level does move as per normal). Bike seems to be running quite normal. Is it some form of condensation? Or just worn out oil. Weather here is very warm (30deg +) but very humid. Daily commute is 25km each way. P.ersonal thoughts are new oil and a VERY long run to clear the motor. Gonna pop in and see my mechanic on the way home and get his opinion.

If she`s using a bit it could well be `blow by` past the rings Bob, that would also be giving you the carbon in the oil that`s settling on the sight glass.

Could be Mince, she's done 107,000kms.
Still running ok, though.
Popped into my mechanics this afternoon and he had a look and said it was fine. He'd seen ones worse than that.

You could always do a oil flush and clean, this will remove any crap/carbon/children from the engine.

just a thught i have had a simuler issuse on my previuse suzuki bandit 400v if it is a sort of cream or has a hint of white to it.
it can be discharge from a hot or burning clucht. if you take the engine casing off around the clutch and find more of it then there is you problem.
