Clicky chain

Mines developed a barely audible click when moving the bike around with the engine off.
Noticed the chain was tight from when they put the new rear tyre on a few weeks ago.
Loosened the adjusters off a bit an the chain run is a lot better now, but the click is still there when you rock the bike backwards and forwards.
Mostly only noticeable when the chain is cold. Riding to work and the chain warms up it tends to disappear.
Chain is 5 month old RK525GWX.

Checked front sprocket and tab, rear sprocket and nuts too. Gearbox play?
I'm thinking give the chain a THOROUGH clean, check and see if the chain slider needs replacing or maybe new cush drives.
Luckily, only another week or so then 2 weeks off and a week after that the bike goes in for a service and they said they will investigate it.

Any ideas, am I on the right track?

Sounds like a dry / worn pin or two to me Bob. Yep, good clean, good lube, see how it goes.

beg borrow or steal a stand and check it properly.

they might have twisted the chain sideways when the tyre was done, perhaps bending a side plate or making a link tighten.
on a stand and check links/plates and pin protrusion at the joiner.
cheers
