FCR41 accelerator pump not pumping - why not?

When I first fitted my FCR's the accelerator pump clearly squirted fuel into each carb when the throttle was twisted.

Now I find it is a pig to start because the pump is not functioning.

Has anyone any idea what may be the cause?

Linkage all looks good; the pump is actuated by the throttle linkage.

Fuel tap and pump are good.

Fuel is getting to the carbs and it doed fire.

Not what I need after my oil circulation issues this earlier weekend.

Hoping someone can help? Does the pump need priming and if so, how?

Thanks in advance

strip it down, either the diaphagm is split or the spring is shot

Removed pump diaphragm; all OK.

Spring return OK.

Jets clear when blown through from pump feed.

Now the pump appears to operate (on the bench at least) but no indication as to why it was not doing so before strip down. Will reassemble and hope for the best.

You are right Fung

Looking at the tap filter within the tank you wouldn't think much could get through it but two filters can't do any harm.

Have yet to replace carbs cos new inlet rubbers are needed. They are splitting externally and may as well bin them before leaks become an issue.
