Hey all,
is it possible to use XTZ 750 header pipes on a TRX?
are there other type fuel tanks that fit the TRX ?
(damaged one should be rebuild as a tracker/scrambler)

I have seen XTZ750s fitted with TRX850 engines and they seem to use the standard exhaust system from the XTZ on the new TRX engine.

But, this is in a xtz chassi so whether an xtz pipe on a trx engine in a trx chassis will hit the frame or swingarm etc ...... ?

Thanks for your reply Trixynut.

Here there's a picture with one, but no idea if he had to mod them or not...

It you google images of the XTZ you will see that the standard pipes do not cross over each other just after they exit the cylinders and don't sweep up so much at the back before the can, so these are not standard pipes.

G'day Curck, no idea on the pipes, but one of our members here has transplanted a tank from (I think) an XJ6:

A bit of digging should turn up the details that I am lacking!

Hi all,
Thanks a lot for the replies.
I've checked this link before; http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=714167
It's fine, but it isn't what I'm looking for.
Maybe after a paintjob it looks better, I dunno.

About the pipes of the XTZ750, they should fit, except need some mods to mount/hold the pipes.

Seat;
I've seen one with a Ducati seat, but can't find more information.
Don't know which type it comes from...
Makes a big difference I guess.

How do you name this type of seat; ?

Are there longer foot gear/break levers?

I remember the member who picked up the Trx that had been turned into a chookie. Picked it up cheap as it wasn't running right. It had a DR400 front end fitted being a bit taller this was causing problems with the float level on the carbs. Once this was sorted , bingo , looked like a bush pig but I have no idea what mods had been done for rear travel tho..

Edit added by Mincehead who cannot post directly on this thread due to bloody stupid works puter restrictions!!!!
Some header `goodies`:
