After going onto reserve, my bike is really difficult to start, any ideas why?

Fuel taps mostly have uneven length plastic tube like strainers that protruded up into the tank.
The short one is for reserve.
Perhaps it is partially blocked?

If you run it until it stops with the tap pointed to "ON" then you'll need to turn it to prime for a short while before moving onto reserve so that the float bowls in the carbs can be refilled. Sorry if you know this already though!
