Noticed the use of the Projection Components over size two into one stainless exhaust on track Rexes in the UK.
Must say what a marvellous piece of piping they are ( mine might be the only ones in OZ so far ?? )..
So I am using them with my FCRs with Ram Air filters and blue bell mouths,...and so asking to the jet sizes in the Keihins that suit my combo..
Mind ,the machine is moving really well, but for a slight flat spot around 2000 rpm, pulls like a train .
Jet size suggestions pls.

158 mains, needle 3 notches from top

With JE878, FCR's (blue bellmouths and foam sock), standard head and Akra 2 into 1 I use 150 mains and needles in the middle slot.

No flat spots any where; just lots of power.

Thanks lads, your info correlates to my research so far..already set up with the 150 s, with a weather eye to the colour of the exhaust outlet which seems to be on the side of lean...

Not so easy for me to judge correct mixture from the can outlet as it burns so much oil on the track, it is always well sooted up.

I did start at 170 mains where it ran well but the dyno owner suggested dropping to 160 which I did. No noticeable difference in the motor response though. Carbs came with 150's fitted.

Then dropped to 150's and it still pulls like a wild thing. Taking the head off this week (to be replaced to sort smoking on over run) and will see what colour the valves and piston tops are. May even pop some Kent cams in there.

I can still remember the first time out at Brands Hatch this year with FCR's fitted; the induction noise is tremendous (and loud!) and such smooth high revving power. Everyone says they are good but I had no idea the bike would be so different.
