Front wheel number/letters

Post by dandywarhol » Sun May 17, 2009 11:16 pm

Would anyone have the front wheel number/letters for a TRX. Is it the same wheel as a FZS 600 Fazer?

Ah, didn't know about the database  On P47 it shows 2 types of wheel and part numbers - do you know what the differences are? Is it a colour difference?

What I'm wanting is the number cast into the wheel and what other Yam models use the same wheel.

Mine's been powder coated but it looks like J 17x3.50 DOT on one spoke & JAPAN F-52 on another if that helps ? Other spoke just says about tubless tyre suitability.
Life's short & it's hard.... . like a body building elf.

I think it`s the same as an early Fazer and Thundercat but I`m guessing there will be those on here that know for sure.
There should be a 4UN-something number on them somewhere I`m guessing.

Early FZs600 has 6 spokes - 3x 2 spars and the Thundercat has different disc centres..............still looking 8)

Thanks for the numbers G B - not quite what I'm looking for, 4UN makes sense but I'm wondering if it's a common number for the FZ and others with the same wheel. :? I can't get to the bike for a few days and I'm needing a wheel soon.

You could maybe give Russ a raid down at Carricks to compare part numbers on the fiches?
I often go round the other side of the counter and look stuff up on the fiches myself, especially if the young guy behind the counter is a bit `lost`.

4UN is the TRX, so not sure why an FZS would have that wheel. I thought the Thundercat wheels were different - hubs a different width?

My UK bike is the 17x3.5 DOT marked wheel. Maybe the F52 is for grey imports or '96 (first year) bikes?
