Hi guys,
Spoke too soon.

Can anyone please post up a pic of the underside of their ventura rack.
Just want to see what fits where underneath. Think might be missing a link piece across middle of L bracket. Cheers
And or how you fitted it would be legendary
Thanks in advance ...

Sorry, i havent a picture, but the l brackets dont have a link piece, they are open pipe at the top and the rack docks into them. You can get a u shape piece to put in when you dont have a rack on but this is only to make it look better. The L brackets fit to a pillion footrest bolt at the front and have a U shaped fitting to the frame tube nearer the back. Its a bit fiddly getting the u bracket on the first time.
Hope this helps.
PS you need to get the correct rack as the width spacings can be different for different bikes.

I lost one of mine because they tend to stay on the frame tube when you remove the L Brackets. You could make them. you need a strip if steel about 3/4" wide and need to bend it round a piece of pipe a similar diameter to the frame tube, then drill a hole through both ends, the long bolt goes through pinching the little tube on the brackets in the middle. A strip of rubber inner tube will protect the frame tube.
Good luck,
Dave

I found a picture of my old rack fitted to the bike, the U brackets are fitted out of sight just ahead of the indicator.

Cheers Trixy,
Rang Kenma (
http://www.kenma.com.au/) the Aussie supplier and they were brilliant. Was going to send a fitting kit including instructions straight out by courier for me without charge so I asked about a bag and was only 30 bucks more than on ebay, have one of them too please. Really impressed and read on another forum of guys having the same experience. Def 2 thumbs up!

Yeah, Ventura stuff is great.
Back when I used to run the Guzzi, I used to use Gearsack, 'cos I thought Ventura was a bit on the flimsy side.
But since having the TRX which came with the Ventura fitted, I'm a convert.
Got the U shaped hand grab rail, the sports rack and the taller std rack. Haven't had a problem except the paint wearing away, but nothing a bit of satin black and clear coat can't fix.

You also need the brackets to move the indicators. If you don't have them send me a PM and i will shoot them over to you.

Cheers,
Alan.
