an hour in the garden tinkering

Post by handsomejackuk » Wed May 25, 2011 7:43 pm

Been tinkering tonite, painted my Fuel Tap metal part, as i went on to reserve on sunday and couldnt see the damn tap... painted nice bright silver now so i can see the markings...!!!!

also had a bit of trouble adjusting the suspension adjuster as the plastic thingy would not turn... stripped it down, and wd 40'd it and reassembled it on the softest setting now as finding the suspension very hard... might be the shocker is fuscked.

Had a turn around with the clipons, and turned them back the right way round as found the angle a bit to much for my wrists...

lubed up the radiator bolts in readyness tomorrow for removal and painting, and spark plug changing tomorrow night....

trial fitted my scorpion cans, and may need some custom rear hangers made... and possibly a slight modification to the /Scorpion link pipes...

Al...

gotta be thankfull that we dont have the problems of corrosive roads down here in Australia..rusty starter motor caseings..and all the other problems you lot have ...its a thing here to find a car or bike [outback] or 3--5 hours inland which has been out in the open for the past 30 years to be largely free of rust and a nice resto job...anr i wont even mention the fantastic riding weather we have all year...its our winter in Queensland now and i will have to put a scarf on under my chin for the 9 degree chill ride to work this morning...must get down south one day to see some snow for the first time .....heh heh :bootyshake: :bbq: :riding:
