Commuters blues.
I am coping flack from some neighbours about the noise emmiting from my beloved bike at 5:30am.
In trying to be considerate, I am exploring avenues to remedy this issue.
My cans are pretty much straight through but I have had them repacked and spark arrestor cones inserted in an attempt to tone them down, to no avail.
I may heve to install the standard cans until I can sort something but I do not want the drop in performance or the extra weight that will inevitably result.
I can't afford new cans right now but will have to start shopping. Can anyone suggest a solution. (No, I am not prepared to shoot the neighbours.)

Does anybody know how much a full 2 into 1 Akrapovic system is?
How loud is it with the removable baffle installed?
Yeh! I already roll it down the hill so that when I light the wick at least I am moving. In the good old days, I used to push my 1980 T140E Triumph about half a mile up the street to avoid waking the girlfriend's parents!

Back when I used to live at the parents place out Western Sydney (past Castle Hill) I had a Guzzi LeMans w/- LaFranconi mufflers and my brother had a Ducati 900S2 w/- 2-1 Staintune megaphone. We were always getting complaints from the neighbours so we were always bump starting them at the bottom of the hill in the mornings.
Later moved closer into the Hills area where I had the Guzzi for a number more years. Always asked the neighbours if my bike woke them up in the mornings and they said no. Seeing the TRX has std pipes on it at the moment, its whisper quiet.

I think I might take the CR for a blast up and down the street early Sunday morning. Maybe the neighbours will appreciate the beautiful symphony that eminates from Trixy when they awake to the tumultuous cacophony that is blasted from the CR's FMF race pipe.Ya could always ride the CR mate
