Hi youngy!

Very sad to here what has happened to you and your TRiXie!

And that dumb excuse hitting the accelerater instead of the brake - that reminds me:

Some time ago a car drove backwards out of his yard on the street and when he drove forwards in my direction he drove the same way forward again and nearly crashed into me (my car).
When I asked him what was the point of doing so he sad "I forgot to steer ... " :x

Those people should have to give their license back

Hope you and your TRiXie get well soon and get your damage made good very well!

As to our deal with the Coerce front sprocket cover you don't have to hurry - just tell me when you have the time therefor.

Patient greetings from Munich!

Sorry to here about that dude. At least you're not too badly hurt, although it must be a gutter with regards to the Rex, at least these things are replaceable.
youngy wrote:A dozy bitch in a car rear ended me not 400m from home. "Oh I missed the brake and hit the accelerator". Mmmmmm nice.
 But I bet the said dozy bitch is well and truly on the same 'speed kills' band wagon that all the other crap drivers have joined in on! And I bet she'll be part of the 'arm waving' club when you go a couple of miles an hour over the limit through a village! How about learning how to operate the controls in your vehicle! Sorry, rant over.

Bit of an update.

According to the nice men from the recovery firm, the accident happened on teh slip road coming of the 60mph section. So she could well have been doing 70. Then she dragged the bike 100m down the road.

I took a few pics:

Her car was in the yard too. Looks like her left headlamp has gone into my rear right indicator area, pushed all the rear mudguard in, hit the wheel, bent the exhaust and bent and cracked the frame. There's dents to all 4 sides of the car, which all appear to be fresh.

Guess I was lucky she didn't take me along with the bike.

I don't know if I hit her car or not. I have no recollection of the incident. I think I either went over the car backwards, or flew off sideways.

I was wearing an Arai Astro helmet. Dent in the back of it. Saved my head.
Daytona Winner boots. Bruised left foot. Second reasonable accident in these boots and no more than bruising. Boots are a little scuffed.
Held Phantom gloves. No damage to my hands or the gloves.
MJK 2 piece suit. A few marks on it. Bruising on me. No cuts in the suit or in me!

not sure there's much to have out of the salvage if it's offered. Rear shock maybe, engine? Dunno. Forks and front wheel look ok. Grrrrrrrrrrrreat!

I should add that these pictures don't really do it justice. It is a mess.

Hi youngy, sorry to hear about your bike getting mashed up, thank goodness your ok. You need to get yourself a good lawyer and claim everything you can off her insurance and then some more for your injuries and the extreme trauma you've suffered. The only chance we have of getting fuckwits like this off the road is to make sure their next insurance premium is astronomically high. You will probably find this dumb bitch will get off with paying £200 to attend a safety awareness course.
Girlfriends 75yr old mother got ran over by an old guy when he decided to take to the pavement in his car.Police didnt even bother coming round to the hospital or her home for a statement. This old git in the car paid £200 to the police to attend the safety awareness course and that was that. She was outraged so she got a good lawyer and sued his insurance company. She got a tidy pay out. I would be very surprised if that guy got insurance again. Get well soon mate.
