I've read this thread with interest...
My 96 model has a chassis number that ends in 000005 and an engine number that ends in 00003
Not sure how that fits in with some of the theories above?
Last month of trx manufacture?

so Rat and Kenmore Where your bikes sold as Melenium models????as I have noticed some of the trx's factory labeled and sold in 2000 passed of as????

Not according to the original bill of sale.
There were some dealers in New South Wales who sold a millenium model.
Most notably Bike Biz in Parramatta.
My bike came from Inskip in Newcastle.
