Need a new set. Don't care for the wavy look. Found these on eBay. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

i had the same but in a wave disc, regardless of the pads i used i couldnt get the pulse out of them. ditched them in the end

better off getting a good nick set of used oem discs in my opinion. Metal Gear do good quality discs at a reasonable price

Buy EBC (or other proper brand name) or OEM

Never understood why anyone would want to buy cheap discs or tyres

I learnt that from a pair of cheap Chinese wavey discs too a while back.
Great bite but the same,I could see the pulse putting the front end down if I was braking late into a corner.
I'm up for for a new pair of rotors again, just weighing up weather to go for 320mm with calliper adaptors.

They look like Kagizume discs, my TRX had a pair on when I bought it. Over some wet/Winter use the semi-floating bobbins corroded and essentially warped the disc to such a state that the bike tried to throw the MOT tester off the rolling road as they came on and off in pulses. No need to mention it failed the test.. Until then though they worked just fine. They are noticeably heavier than the OE discs though, I didn't notice any handling difference but you may be annoyed by such things.

I quickly bought a pair of used Yamaha discs off Kayla on this forum, it passed it's MOT and they're still on there now

Stay away from Chinese brake rotors, the metal is crap and they can be warped from the outset due to poor heat treating.

Genuine Yamaha discs retail at $432.10 from Yamaha Australia........and they don't have any in stock so ti will be a back order and wait proposition.

Metal Gear make very good quality rotors (made in Germany) from excellent quality materials. I have used them extensively in my business and on my own race bikes and have no negative comments. They are manufactured to OEM specs and work brilliantly. I have just put a complete set on my TRX race bike. Price is less than half genuine at $169.95.

I have seen at least 6 people with them who ended up ditching them due to pulsing

Discs are unfortunately pricey but the Chinese ones are a false economy. Metal gear are reasonabley priced or alternatively OEM or EBC

If you can get a good used set that's another option.

Whereas I've had a set of wavy S3 rotors on for about 7 years and only now they are showing signs of wear.
I'd buy 'em again
No sign of warpage whereas the OEM ones would warp if you just looked at them

S3 wavey's are almost twice the price for a pair compared to your chinese $160 jobbies plus you get a 24mth warranty and local within Australia so only a phone call away if you do have issues.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Galfer - more expensive than Chinese tat but the results warrant the cost & still cheaper than OE

I've got a BRAKING wavy disc on the rear going on 10 years
Still bites well, but I think its on the limit thickness-wise
