head race bearings

just thinking for the future
not looking for a debate about balls vs tapered but would a sealed head race bearing set be ok ..for example

the ball type bearings that i have with the parts that i bought, come with a separate top and bottom seal.. would i still need to use the separate top and bottom seals if i bought a sealed type ? Would the sealed type even fit.. even though bearings may be same size the seal would surely add extra millimetres to the 15 and 17 depth of the bearings??
