just freshened up the TR1X a little,, Basically put most of my fairing back on and re-polished the gear on it (been sitting for 3 weeks, much dust and crap on it)..
To see what my bike looks like, mearly look to the TRX of the month at the top of this page
Thats my beast there.
Ive still got much to do, but the R1 duck tail is comming along nicely, and i just got my new front fairing and ill be attaching that soon as my light cluster comes.
Anyway,, cheers

I too wanted a ducati, test road a 750 ss 95 mod, it was CRAP. had been down the road and it lookd like the frame was bent, so I bought my rex. the rex was cheaper than the ducati and a lot more fun, Took mine on a 450 km ride on saturday and only used 25ltrs of fuel. cant argue with that. Every time I accelerate I get the biggest smile on my face. What a note. Anyway, welcome to this site from tassie..

'recon we do right now.... roads that make Mt Glorious/ Mt Mee look like Qld Raceway within 15mins of the city centre...beer that tastes a bit more complex and interesting than my 7 year old daughters cordial...no toll roads...a city with a civic life, not a population explosion...3 first class wine regions within 1.5 hours of the city centre - take the twisties to the cellerdoor, taste a few, buy a couple, do lunch, fresh twisties home, repeat next weekend to different winery..... Ohh bugger let the cat out of the bag.. nothing to see here move right along

I agree (mostly) with you DFH. I try and visit my mate in Loby every year or two and get amongst the hills and down to Victor Habour and so on. BUT THE WEATHER SUCKS compared to Qld! Will be meeting up with my mate (Thruxton) this year to ride over to PI for the MotoGP.You going?

The weather sucks? Today its mid autumn and 32degC or about 7 deg warmer than BrisVegas according to the Met Web, like yesterday and the day before. Compared to Sydney- my old home town- its a little bit warmer all year round with less rainfall and lots less humidity.
As for PI I'm mighty interested... does your mate from Lobie travel via the GOR etc to get there?
Now that brings up the worst part of living in Adelaide. If you're off to the eastern states there is always, depending on the route of choice, up to a days worth of straight road droning to be done. The best route is Robe to Mt Gambier to the GOR then on the ferry past Melb. Lots of fun but no good if QLD is the target and time is short. Still its not as bad as living in Townsville...
Actually now I think about it a 2 or 3 week round trip Briz to Adl return or the inverse by all the interesting roads would be the best thing you could ever do on a bike. I've travelled all the likely candidates individually over the years but as one big journey..... now I'm dribbling on my keyboard.
Do you bring your TRX down when you visit? Maybe thats the time to show us crow eaters how it is done in Qld.
Cheers DFH

Had a quite run through those Adelaide Hills today. Down the Gorge to the City then back up Eagle on the Hill, Mt Lofty summit, Basket Range, Lenswood, Cudlee Creek, Chain of Ponds .........Bright sunny day, very little breeze.
Only downside was visiting a mate in Hospital after recently trashing his ZX10.

dfh,
I'm a bit of a woose, I like the temp under 30 and over 20, that's why I live up on the range at Toowoomba. Every time I go to SA it's either over 30 or under 20. Might be picking the wrong time of year. Your route sounds like what my mate was suggesting. I've been down there on the TRX but now unfortunately (see some of my previous posts) I have a Guzzi Cali. My plan is to call into my mates on way around Oz (from Perth, hopefully) then over to PI then home via the coastal and highland backroads.
