I use to get from 240 to 285 k's before reserve (depending on the riding style)

You'll properly get a mixed view on tyre pressures, for me I ran 34 front, 38 rear on Bridgestone 014 front and 020 rear.

1. I get about 280 before reserve but some of these TRXers are getting 315 before reserve.
2. I do 32 front 35 rear but I suspect that for that perfect feeling there are a lot more that can be done other than just tyre pressures.
3. You can view the complete workshop manual from the download site.
Good Luck

I think I get around 150 miles before needing reserve, but to be honest I normally fill up at around 120 miles out of habit anyway.

as for TP, I run 33 - 36, which works for me, and is roughly the 2.25 - 2.5 bar specified in the manual.

I´m getting refills at 200km because i never want to fiddle with the tap on a busy motorway....but i guess i will get close to 250-300Km mixed driving (that´s with keihin 41´s)

Tyres i use 2,5 front and 2,8 rear....bar that is! :-).....and i´m using dunlop qualifiers at the TRX spec size.

Does your TRX have the standard carbs? If so then I'd bet your emulsion tubes have had it.

I think they are standard, but I was told they have dynojeted...

what's those emulsion tubes? hard to replace?expensive?
will have to have a look at the manual..

Might not be obvious in the manual.

Basically they are the part that the metering needle runs in. They wear oval which results in rich running. See:

Not expensive to replace, and a simple job as long as you are happy to take carbs apart.

I´m quite happy in taking carbs and do them, not a problem there.

if my carbs have been dynojeted but are standard ones, will the emulsion tubes be the standard ones?

200-210km before reserve, ~35km on reserve sometimes more cos i ride it REALLY soft in that region of tank.

Think i also need to look into this.. Pitty i got other things to do with my time.. oh yer, ill post some pics tonight :)

every three months fuel tank cleaning

the mechanic who is teaching us "wet behind the ears" folks at our motocycle maintence course suggests that every three months when his petrol tank is on reserve and is only running on fumes and the riders enthursiam.

he puts a 1 ltre of metho in the fuel tank.

then he shacks the hell out of the bike and this ensure all the mositure and dead animals at the bottom of the fuel tank are lose and doesnt stay stuck on the bottom of the fuel tank.

is he talking crap or does this make sense and should be something that must be done every three months
