Hello,How are we all today?
After my little `off`,i`ve now noticed that my rear subframe is bent to the left about an inch. What would you guys recommend, straightening or cutting off and rewelding?do you know off anyone in lincs that does this? Thanks in advance!

Has the subframe creased or has it just been knocked across.

If it is only an inch does it really matter?

Any engineering firm should be able to straighten it TBH

You can bend the rear back into straight. It might be worth checking for bentness around the headstock area.

The headstock is fine, its bent on the subframe where the `white van man` kindly parked his ride.
Where the right hand side(as you sit on the bike)exhaust bolts to the pillion peg,its pushed up there.and across about an inch.not creased though.

It should be repairable, but be extra carful not to damage the cast aluminum swingarm pivot bracket where it bolts to the frame. You'd be surprised how soft these frames actually are, but too much pressure in the wrong place can cause fracture.

A friend of mine has a jig in his shop for straightening frames. He's worked miracles on some that looked like twisted globs of metal. He's also broken a bunch of engine mount castings in the process... He's gotten better at it after experience.

ring up your local motorcycle shop, they will know someone in the area. Even if its a new dealer, they still prolly know someone to point you in the right direction.. few mins on the blower* should be sweet :)
