Carbie spitting back !! its EVIL

ok this is weird, every now and then randomly the carbie will spit back just on one cylinder. I have no idea why it does this. Ive setup the TPS and all that jazz, but im lost now.

I´ve seen FCR´s spit a LOT of fuel back when hitting the rev limiter....so theoretically it could be that it don´t fire when this happens!?

nope, it runs fine, ive got no other problems besides that. Its just woring me.

Are you running standard carbs or FCR's, and have you checked all the pipes to the carb, especially the one spitting back. Does it happen when you close the throttle quickly, or any time, any revs?

Nope i cant pin point it, it really happens randomly. Sometimes i wont do it at all, and then it will just do it once and not for a while. The bike runs strong, pulls well, no complaints except that.

Exactly what do you mean By "the carbie is spitting back" ? Fuel and flames, or just a pop ? Have you got the standard airbox on the Bike ? No mods to the airbox ? Clean air filter ? Are the plugs good ? Ignition system in good order ? Any leaks on the exhausts ? Sorry mate, I know these suggestions are all over the place, but you're not giving a lot of info.

Could it be inlet valve related. ie valve not sealing properly, clearence too tight.

I'm with dobbo , mine does it cold sometimes , after about 1 minute idle it's ok . Also only fires on one cyclinder if I havn't run it for a few weeks , overcome this by turning fuel tap to prime for 30 sec before i start it

Could also be carb balance? Dirty fuel? Emulsion tubes?
Mine foul's both cylinders if I haven't started it for a week or two, but only for 30 second's or so then clears itself.
It's also running a K&N filter, & D&D mufflers which offer no back pressure at all, so it tends to run rich at lower revs.
Runs perfectly at higher revs!
Even better over 140 (Km/h)!

I thought this, but then isn't this a rebuilt motor?
