Nothing really TRX related. I'm off to Japan tonight.

Last time I was in Tokyo, they were all riding scooters of various sizes. Once in a blue moon you'd see an old bannana framed GSX-R-4. So what's in fashion this week?

So, were are the pictures?
I've always been told 400cc bikes are very popular over there because of tax reasons. Is this true?
And could you grab some nice stuff for my Yamaha Tricker?
Can't buy anything here for this small bike.

Can't buy anything here for this small bike.
It used to be a graduated licensing thing with Japan - they had capacity limits and you had to do multiple tests. 400cc bikes were OK with, I think, two tests. The unlimited licence you'd need for a TRX used to be harder to get than the International 'A' Licence in Gran Turismo (
), hence all the 400cc replicas of larger bikes.
I believe they've abolished that now. Max would presumably know (isn't he in Japan?)

Max is not japanese, altho he does indeed live in japan.

The "large capacity" (above 400cc) license still stands, but they've eased up on it a lot. They now also have a special one for "automatics" (big scooters).

Aha, so that explains all the big scooters I saw...
