not bad
...waddaya mean "Not Bad"?!? its a 'fighter and you hate 'fighters! Going soft in your old age!
I quite like it too, but with those wire wheels and that megaphone can, it needs clip-ons and a cafe-racer type fairing with a big round light: that would look cool!

I agree with this, I think it's more suited to a cafe-racer look than streetfighter. Nail on a 7" headlight, a small flyscreen and clip-ons and it'd be a gorgeous

Should have twin pipes though.

Yeah I know

. I mean not bad as in a good starting point and I admire the work that's gone into it.
Agree, it would look better as a cafe racer.

Yer, it would be proper nice if the owner went the whole proverbial and cafe racer'd it. Much better than a Ducati sportclassic. The spoked wheels and megaphone can are nice with the frame , but it needs clip ons and flyscreen - the right side view looks nice, but the front 3/4 where you can see the bars looks wrong to me.
Also not sure about the braced swinger, but there's not much you can do other than fabricating your own tubular steel swinger matched to the frame.

After owning an rd350 when they first came out then the old 750 bonnie for 14yrs I can see a bit of both in that..
Certainly have a lot of fun on the back wheel to and from work thats for sure..

.. as mentioned..7" light would do wonders I feel .. And the wires N megaphone and inline twin brings back memories of the trumphy with the rd 350 radiator and cosmetics.
Talk about a manifestation

Well done

A while ago I saw this TDM for sale on a dutch website:
The text of the advert didn't say anything about the wheels, it took me quite a while to figure out what it was that made this bike "different"!

Sorry, I meant 'would Super Ten hubs work if they had decent-sized discs fitted to them?'

anything will work with enough modification
trouble is to fit decent sized discs to the 3LD (XTZ750) hub is VERY expensive as its 1 off produced items (discs, calipers etc)
i've been trying to upgrade the brakes on mine for ages and the cheapest way is actually to replace the entire front end with one from a WR450
