Fuel Tank "sender" unit ......???
saw this "item" on ebay, wondered if anyone can shed any light on it, as I don't recall the TRX having a fuel sender unit (mind you, its been a while since I've seen mine, let alone ridden it!)

best I can come up with is its from a TDM850 (late model?)

I saw it too, just assumed that the home market(Japanese)models might have been fitted with a fuel guage.

Seller has just replied to my enquiry, and confirms it is for a TDM and not a TRX........ somehow I'm not 100% convinced ..... I thought the TDM sender had a square base.

Nope. Mine's just got the bum basic on/off/res tap like all the rest.Mincehead wrote:I saw it too, just assumed that the home market(Japanese)models might have been fitted with a fuel guage.

Who needs a guage anyway, gadgets just create more work when they develop a fault.
Opening a tank cap, peering in and rocking a bike is the age old method and I`m more than happy with that.
