Hi everyone dodders from down under.
Has anyone fitted one of those aftermarket small electronic speedo/ tacho kits . You see them on E Bay all the time .
If so can you please give a report on one . Quality, accuracy , back lite. are they built strong enough , and are they water proof.

I havn't personally...yet I aim to in the near future...but Kayla on here has. As far as I can remember, she said that there were some issues with hers, but then someone else said that they were good. I can't remember the exacts, but Kayla has one

The old skool '90s style Sigma bicycle computers, if calibrated correctly with wheel size etc, are very, very accurate. Much better than Yam clocks. Also weigh 2/10ths of **** all. It can be a bit of a fiddle getting the magnet and the sensor within the specified distance of each other though. Visibility is OK, though obviously not as good as an analog speedo.

Hello everyone again
The speed o i am referring to is the Vayper type.
Any report on these would be greatly appreciated .I have noticed in one collum in Mods And Upgrades someone has giving a little bit of info but more is needed.

Have one on my trials bike. Just as accurate the aforementioned bike computer. Problem is actually the 10,000 different functions on it which mean you need a PhD to use it.

It's dead easy on the 'Rex. A small button magnet on one of the disk bolts and the receiver cable tied to the fork.

There's a guy getting round Sydney with a wicked looking Bright Dark Green TRX and he has an Acewell 3693(?) speedo which looked quite good.
