Prep is the key
take it back as far as you can, then prime, use VHT paint (I used PJ1 IIRC) and then an HT clear coat
I've also used Halfords VH paint which is more silver that the standard but didn't bother me as I was doing the whole lump (also needs a clear coat)

Its a radiator! clever little idea, that seems to have caught on since they were premiered on the TRX
