Top ten BIG TWIN sportsbikes....

MCN deliberately stirring?

I do agree with them on the VTR-SP. A mate had a red SP1 that I rode regularly on road and track. When I got my '954, we were both quite surprised by how comprehensively it shat on the RC51. Much, much faster anywhere on the track and made the RC feel like it had a square wheel from turn in to apex. Made it feel like a TL-R, actually.

I don't know why that comes ahead of the Firestorm, given how miserably it failed to compare with the GSX-R750 in performance. IIRC, Suzuki USA struggled mightily in development to get it anywhere near the four despite it being built to take on Ducs in the 750 class, and eventually they had to forget about competing the thing - that's how bad it was. I love the concept and the looks, but unlike the VTR, it's a pig to ride.

Although the TRX is shown as 5th it is actually equal 3rd on 88 percent!

Ah, dont forget this is MCN were taking about. The 88% is one of their standard crappy typo's. god knows where that came from but adding up the 'results' below gives 77%.....

It appears one of their wonderful journalists may just have made it all up! ....Unheard of

Izal is a coarse paper, non absorbent and hard on the skin. After having been spoilt by the soft toilet tissues on the market it is difficult to ever think of using the Izal type toilet papers ever again.
Izal tissue has a medicated smell whereas toilet tissue today is often perfumed. It has a hard hostile and cold feeling to it, today we enjoy 3 ply and soft quilted tissue. Izal just wasn't absorbent but today's tissue is super absorbent. Izal reminds me of tracing paper and it was widely used in school toilets too.
My Grandmother used newspaper cut up neatly into squares and threaded onto a piece of string in her `little room`, Izal is just maybe one move ahead of that!
Given that Izal promised to protect against many major illnesses and cure some other ailments it was hardly surprising that the Izal paper became such a favourite with housewives..."

Did it stop you getting piles though ?!!, and was it meant to be so small that only school children could use it!

Third, be proud , be bold, be disgusting . I got to work the following morning and spread the word, THIRD to the 916 & 748 ducatis. The '05 cbr 600 owner raised his eyebrows, 06 kwaka 750 owner kept his mouth shut, the ex 900 monster owner grinned, the tin top owners were impressed, they love 'The Note" that TRXIE makes.The boys hear me comming to work most mornings, that last blast through the carpark, burble up to the gate, let it thump away while I reverse into MY parking spot, blip the throttle (cause it sounds great) and disembark.
Morning tea & lunch break, all i did was answer questions in regards to TRX's, they are impressed. I know of one at a local dealer that would have had at least 4 test rides this weekend.
Been riding bikes for 40 years, TRX 850 would have to be in the top 3 of my list.

lets just hope that prices start to rise for the lads that are selling up
