Here's my bike as it is now-









Stripped down and ready for a tidy up I'm going to get the frame powder coated red (probably) and paint the wheels and swingarm myself (or get my bf to do it ) I've ordered some 1992 TZ250 bodywork which should be ready soon. No fancy paint, just a waft of white over the new bodywork with TRX decals on it. No lights either. I'd like an Akrapovic 2-1 but I'll be buying a Nitron shock first and the bike needs new discs and pads.

There's loads of stuff on the bike that weighs too much and doesn't need to be on there. Where's the grinder?

I've got some more done on it now I got the seat unit cut to take the TRX seat and it looks pretty good I think. The fairing is roughly where I want it and I need to make up brackets to hold it all in place. The clip-ons are positioned about 20mm under the top yoke and I'll make some plates to move the footrests up and back. No pics yet as it's been piddling down up here

Kayla I've got some plates I made to move the foot pegs up & back. You can have them if you want ? I can send pic's.

Got to find them 1st. Just had a root around in my garage at home with no joy so thinking they are in a box in my rented garage down the road. Will pop off later for a squint & let you know as soon as I've found them.

Here's a pic of the 2008 R6 shock and Thunderace swingarm fitted. Yes, I am going to fit a YZF750 rear wheel


Buggeration! I chipped the coating knocking the lower bearing race in


and a shot of the right hand side


Here's the new Thunderace front end waiting to be fitted. The bottom yoke is up at Armstrong Engineering in Newcastle having the TRX stem pressed in.


I can't wait to ride it again I'd have done a bit more but I ran out of nitrile work gloves (yes, I am a bit rubbish when it comes to getting my hands dirty )

nice work Kayla. You could touch up the frame chip with some nail varnish.

Looks sweet, but, is the engine also ready or does it need some new paint and maintenance?
