what a differance
i put my R1 blue spots and braided lines and m/c on yesterday
put brand new pads flushed the lines and cleaned the blue spots and then used bellray brake fluid

my stockers had a good fell to them even at the track they felt good but the r1 brakes are so much stronger and have that kick arse bite to them. one finger brakeing with great feel and bite love them

You running a stock master cylinder Days?
I`ve got a radial M/C with stock calipers,pretty good improvement but will have blue spots as well after i sort out my R1 front end.

Yes mate running the R1 M/C as well. Ive been looking for one but they always go for to much $$ on ebay. i got out bid on a brembo one last week it went for $400

whereas blue spots are better than the standard clalipers, you are invariably not comparing like with like.

Had you rebuilt the standard calipers, added braided lines and new fluid, fo you think that they difference would be as noticable?

Days, are you looking on US ebay? You can usually pick them up cheaper there. Alternatively the 2005 R1 OEM Nissin radial m/c can be picked up for less and is a direct upgrade for '98 to '03 blue and gold spot calipers. I'm considering using the Nissin unit as a more cost effective upgrade myself at the moment. Also see Gerben's (Trixz) thread on using an Aprilia radial m/c with the Japanese spec Brembo calipers.

mate i have but have never been a big fan of getting stuff from over there since i got burnt for a few $$ before. mate ive looked at the r6/r1 one's but they dont come up to offten and when they do they are over priced. mate im very happy with the way they are now so ill just wait till one comes up thats not to price'e

mate i put a r1 M/C on it when i got it. I also flushed and cleaned the lines and calipers put new pads and they were better but still not the best. They stoped well but just didnt have that bite that i like from good brakes.

I have blue spots and braided lines but my brakes are still shit. Discs are worn so I'll put some new wave discs on and new pads and see how it goes. Still running stock MC but will see how it goes with new discs and see if I need to update the MC.

Having said that... I still managed to pass three bikes at once in turn 2 at Oran the other day so I guess they're not too bad.

mate i have a R1 M/C that you can have if you want it
