I was intending to go on my own to the Broadford Bonanza which is a weekend of all bike styles scrambles, enduro , trials, sliders , speedway and road race from our Australian bike history held at the Motorcycling Australia Complex at Broadford . The boss said she would like to go so off we went for a weekend of camping and bikes . What else is there in life.We arrived Friday 4.00pm and camped with the dirt bike riders . Saturday morning found us having breakfast and watching the sun come up on the hill overlooking the road race track ( how romantic ladies ) As the day started trailers arrived with old bikes and older rider reliving there racing days etc. The pits filled with English singles , twins from the era they ruled the race track and the yellow peril two strokes that came and conquered in the end . Italian bikes had a good presence as well. I've put a heap of pics into photo bucket http://s64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/ ... nanza2010/ with the pass word guest1 for you to look at etc. Allen Cathcart made a guest appearance doing laps to give us a international flair. For the melb based riders if you didn't go GET THERE next year and see our history and some great bikes. I seen about 10 Rex's in the spectators area and 1 cafe Rex from this site but no rider.

Thanks Bob, photos are very evocative. The McIntosh reminded me of Roger Freeth's efforts at Bathurst.

Yes, it was a great event - went up on Saturday but forgot the camera, so thanks Bob! Saw an interesting 'fighter trx with fcrs, 2-1 pipe, 750 (i think) swingarm, fireblade forks and a hyosung(!) tail! Some pretty cool sidecar speedway sliding too! It's definitely worth checking out if you can get to it.
