I'm just in the process of parcelling up the bits of my bike to post out and weighed the 2-1 system in its parcel...

It weighs in at less than 8kg, and that's in a big box with packaging

The system consists of standard headers modified into a single 50mm collector, a 50mm link pipe and a 450mm long generic oval stainless can (with baffle), plus all of the fixtures and fittings.

Now, how heavy are the standard cans?

There's no real point to this post, I was just pleasantly surprised at how little it actually weighs.

I weighed a standard can once to compare to my carbon ones cos I'm a sad fekker like that and have no friends and seem to remember the standard ones were about 5kg each?? Maybe..

Frighteningly they're actually a bit heavier than that! Can't remember exactly what they weigh but my scales read up to 5.5 KG & they don't read high enough for a single TRX can - pretty sure they're coming on for 6-7 K a piece? No wonder Akra sytems were so popular!

Can't remeber the exact weight (I think 6kgs is about right) but i can tell you that my entire system (Akra headers and Ti devil can) is lighter than a single can
