I wonder if anyone can help?
A bit embarrassing, I bought this trx nearly two years ago.
My second TRX, this one has always seemed rather weak down low, but plenty of stick up high.
Not the charateristics I was used to.
Anyway, decided to replace the emulsion tubes, and they where quite worn.
Normally I would photograph all this before starting, so as not to have this problem with hoses.
Anyhow the problem, I cannot see where the "öutlet water hose" connects to the LHS carby.
Now I know it should be obvious, but I just cannot find where it connects.
If anyone can shed some light on where it fits, I would appreciate it.

From memory it`s a brass stub approximately 3 to 4mm in diameter in the carb casting just above the float bowl in the main body of the carb and in front of the slide.(before the carb body goes into the inlet rubber).
And IF I`m not quite accurate you can`t really go far wrong as the fuel and drain hoses are all of bigger diameters and the float bowl drain hoses are plainly evident as they start at the float bowl and not the main body of the carb.

You were right. I had connected a float bowl drain pipe to it.
Not sure where that is supposed to go.
But it is up and running now. Definitely made an improvement.
Took it for a ride in the rain to test the results. Being in my 50's I'm a fair weather rider these days.
Had a ball, nearly forgotten how much fun that can be. (Rural area, so nice roads)
Whilst changing the emulsion tubes I noticed that the needles were pretty badly scored.
But it seems I had only ordered one needle, and rather than change just the one I will wait till I get another and change them as a set.
By the way I was surprised at just how oval the wear was.
Bike has 53 K klms.

Float bowl drain hose routing isn`t too important as long as they are below the motor and are clear of the exhaust pipes for obvious reasons, oh and don`t drain them with the exhaust hot either, again the reasons are obvious.
From my addled memory they route to the back of the motor and go between the rear engine mount and the alloy frame casting/swingarm mount.
Just one other thing, if you do ever drain the float bowls down through the hoses and fuel goes onto the rear tyre don`t ride off without letting it evaporate fully.
I had a fuel hose split on me once on an old 400 four I referred to as `the chip shop bike`(about all it was good for going down to the chippy and back) but the handling became somewhat interesting until I stopped to check out why I was drifting the rear around bends and roundabouts!
