please could i gleam abit of advice about the front brakes on my trx, iv'e fitted R6 blue spot calipers and hel lines and the brakes are not as .."brick wall" as i was expecting would it be better to fit a R6 / R1 master cylinder as im still on the standard trx one........thanks for any advice

In a word YES. But, you may find that `carefully` bleeding the brakes will improve things too. Those tiny bubbles that may be left in the lines and the master cylinder really do make a difference.

Ditch the standard master cylinder and fit a radial one. Makes a huge difference in braking feel or at least thats what it did for my bike. I used a Nissin one from a GSXR1000.

When fitting "new" calipers ALWAYS make sure the pistons move freely or better yet, take everything appart, clean and lubricate pistons and seals.
My experience tells me that if you have 1 piston slightly seized, that will be enough for the opposite ones to push the disc back and forward in a leaf spring effect and giving you more lever travel. Make sure your discs do not move sideways when you press the lever. If they do, clean and clean and clean.

The master cylinder and calipers go hand in hand , enough said
