I had been keeping this Over system for the day when I get another TRX, but a few $ issues have prompted this sale. Check it out on Oz ebay...I can still remember the magic sound my last rex made through these pipes...

Hi Richard

Your setup on ebay: You say that the headers are stainless - in some other post I've read Minceheads comments that the "real" Over system was made from titanium and the replica from Holland was made from stainless.
Can titanium rust/corrode? If you look at the pictures it looks like some rust at the top of the headers where they split in two.....
Would like to have this thing sorted out before I pay 1200 AUD + 200 AUD in postage :-)
(The replica set from Holland is €989 - without dents and corrosion...)

Any comments Mince?

The REAL and original Over systems were in titanium, the one I have is stainless too, including dents.

Hi cobbadiggabuddyblooo.
Looks like that system is the "replica system" since it's stainless instead of titanium...
Did you see the pics of Richard's set at ebay?

It definately looks like some sort of rust on the 6th picture where the front tubes are connected to the "central" box underneath the engine block.
To my limited knowledge of metallurgi titanium doesn't rust!

Regards Thomas.

Ti doesn't rust - those are genuine Over headers (not the replica ones)

This is my Yoshi titanium full over type..and ive not seen any corrosion on it,anyway this is what the metal looks like alebit mine may have been anodised from new to give the gold hue...also the TIG welding on it is really fine being the thickness of the metal...only one other of these around that i know of...it just weighs up the value that we might put into our machine [personally], and the pride of having something that others cant just go and buy off the shelf and have the same..hence the TRX....
