Generic sizes in all honesty, although some American bikes, Harleys etc, use 25.4 mm (1") bars. Most bars are 22mm (7/8") on all other makes.
Foam grips or the older style ballon grips (bulge in the middle) tend to be my favoured choice.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone fitted heated grips?
I'm toying with the idea, but might just stick the horrible looking, but effective, Oxford Hothands on.

Plenty of members have them fitted, some are pretty good too and hardly look any different to any other grips. I recently saw some on a Harley that were adjustable by turning the bar end, very trick.

Thanks, Mince.
I've got them on my Triumph , & they're a Godsend when the weather is like it was last Monday.
I'll give them a go.
Any preferences anyone?

I got the Oxford heated grips fitted on Saturday bought from
http://www.racevisors.co.uk/category/ox ... rips-muffs for £74.99 including delivery. I was a bit concerned about finding a switched live & was going to tap into the brake light switch, but on looking under the seat, I found a brown wire with a cartridge fuse which had been snipped. I've know idea what it was attached to, but happily it turned out to be a switched live.
I hooked it all up & did a dry run before glueing the grips on.
Yesterday morning I had a moment of mild panic thinking that I hadn't checked it with lights/indicators etc working. I fired it up & checked everything. All was working & there was no smoke, so I suppose I must have got it right first time.
Result! Warm hands on arrival at work.
