Well I picked up my TRX Saturday morning from Dave in Radcliffe who is a member of this forum. After filling up with petrol I headed back home to South Manchester which is a journey of about twenty smiles. My initial impressions where a little mixed. I love the sound of the twin stainless Beowulf cans, and I found the seat very comfortable as was the riding position, all the controls fall nicely to hand. I put the bike away when I got home because I had things to do. Sunday morning I got up early, generally checked the TRX over, topped up the oil a bit and put some air in the tyres and off I whent. The nice thing about Sunday mornings is the fact there are not as many RCU's about (road contamination units) so I started to get into a rythm, blipping the throttle going into bends and riding that lovely wave of torque on the way out, and that exhaust note...lovely. After a while it all started to make sense and come together, and by the end of the afternoon I got home with a big smile on my face. I can see me forming a long and meaningful relationship with this bike, I really can. It isnt perfect, the bike has a dynojet kit fitted and at about 4500 revs winding on the power results in a pause before the power kicks in. The front brakes are just adequate, even though it has Blue spots fitted. I think the initial problem was the fact that my other bike is a Hayabusa with an Akro 4-1,power commander, and 172RWHP and 104lb/ft of torque. The two bikes are so very different its not true. What I had to do is completely re program my brain and understand exactley what the TRX is. The Busa is insanely fast, long low quite heavy, a real road misile. But what the TRX has done is remind me why I love motorcycling so much, it gives me the same thrill as my old RD400E did and my LC350 all those years ago, I had sadly forgotten what it was all about. I had began to stagnate in a in a haze of stupid top speeds and more power than any mortal needs. So thanks to a 270 degree twin Im back with a big cheesy smile on my face...roll on Summer.

Nice one, you might want to check the master cylnder on the front brake to make sure it matches the blue spots, I dont think the orig TRX one is the best match, then again you might just be used to the busa brakes which are probably huge!

I too have re discovered the fun the TRX has to offer after riding high HP bikes.

Another happy customer, and a very eloquent synopsis of why the TRX offers more smies per miles than other bikes. It has quite a pure essence of motorcycling about it.
Sometimes less power is better!
